Design samples
I've worked as a designer for more than 15 years in a variety of mediums. I've worked as a newspaper design editor at the Columbia Missourian, where I concurrently taught the Advanced News Design course at the Missouri School of Journalism. My current duties as the communications coordinator at the American Numismatic Association include website design. Here are some samples of my work over the years.
Logos and banners
Newspaper pages
I designed these pages while working for the Wyoming Tribune-Eagle and the Columbia Missourian. Click for a larger view.
This was the cover of the June 12, 2004, Wyoming Tribune-Eagle, the day former President Reagan was laid to rest.
This was a health page in the Columbia Missourian. I made the illustration to reflect the red tape and maze-like experience of figuring out which medicines qualify under an individual's health plan.
This is the cover of the Weekend Missourian that I designed for a very solemn piece on parents who lost teens in car accidents. The inside spread follows.
Poster
I designed this poster for the Columbia Missourian after an epic Homecoming weekend that saw Mizzou set a record for attendance at a College GameDay location and upset then-No. 1 Oklahoma.
Instruction manuals
I've put together several instruction manuals over the last several years. This is an example of one: A handbook to InDesign CS2.
